POOL DONATION: the annual rescue chopper charity auction next month has had a sizeable addition to the list of items going under the hammer – a swimming pool package donated by Narellan Pools Gisborne
A pool package worth $56,000 is the feature item of Eastland Helicopter Rescue Trust’s annual charity auction next month.
The Bayley’s charity auction night will be held at the Farmers Air Event Centre at Showgrounds Park on Friday, September 17.
“The donation of the pool shell, installation and pool equipment will make a sizeable contribution to the $600,000 required every year to keep the Trust Tairawhiti Rescue Helicopter in the air saving lives,” a chopper spokeswoman said.
“Narellan Pools Gisborne, owned and operated by Gisborne locals Kerryn and Dean Plowman, have generously donated their time to install the successful bidder’s new swimming pool and filtration, as well as the other equipment required to operate and maintain it.”
“With extensive experience in landscape and interior design, Kerryn and Dean will guide the successful bidder through the entire installation process — from planning where to install the pool in their backyard to handover.”
The Plowmans said they were passionate about the Gisborne community and wanted to give back by supporting such an essential service.
“Eastland Helicopter Rescue Trust provides a critical service that everyone benefits from”, Kerryn said.
“The donation will not only support a vital community service but add untold enjoyment to the auction winner’s lifestyle.
“At Narellan Pools, community is at the centre of everything we do,” she said.
“Our wish is that this donation makes a sizeable contribution to the trust’s annual budget and brings the lucky auction winner’s dream of a new pool to life,” Narellan Pools founder Chris Meyer said.
